Insta360 upgrades flagship to 8K 360-degree video

Insta360 introduced a new flagship camera, Insta360 X4, adding 8K 360° video, plus 5.7K60fps and 4K100fps, while also doubling as a traditional action camera When shooting 360 video, the Insta360 X4 can capture up to 8K at 30 fps, while the X3 tops out at 5.7K video at 30 fps. In single-lens mode, the X4 can do 4K video at up to 60 fps; the X3 also supports 4K video, but only at 30 fps. Other video modes, including Bullet Time, Timelapse, and Me Mode, also received similar boosts to resolution. Insta360 X4 is available to purchase worldwide from 16th April 2024, priced at US$499.99.
The Insta360 X4 has hand-signal control, allowing users to start/stop recording or take a photo using hand signals. Additional X4 camera upgrades include a slightly bigger and more durable 2.5-inch touchscreen, removable lens guards for improved ruggedness, and a major boost to battery life. This premium camera is supported by a powerful 5nm AI chip, and aa host of AI-powered shooting and editing features.
