Kodak Moments launched the Edge Order Station, a single touchpoint for consumers to upload, print, and create premium photo products at retail stores. With its smaller form factor, the Edge Order Station delivers significant speed and performance improvements compared to previous Kodak Moments order stations, most notably in software loading, backup and reboot times.

“Reducing the time for these infrequent but necessary operations is a big win for retailers,” said Tracy Finnemore-Olson, Senior Worldwide Product Line Manager, Consumables, Printers & Hardware for Kodak Moments. “For consumers, wireless printing is now 28% faster, improving on an already fantastic retail printing experience.”

The latest version of the Edge Order Station features a slim, modern design and a vibrant touchscreen that attracts consumers’ attention, the company claims.

“Edge is an easy-to-use countertop solution powered by Kodak Moments Retail Software,” explained Finnemore-Olson. “We redesigned Edge to give it a more approachable look and feel. It’s lighter and sleeker with a smaller footprint to preserve counter space. For retailers, space is money.”

The Edge Order Station easily transfers images from phones to the kiosk, offering convenient wireless printing via WiFi, AirPrint, and Bluetooth, the company says. Connecting to a physical cable or USB drive is no longer required. With Direct Transfer technology, consumers can quickly and easily access the network by scanning a QR code to wirelessly upload photos they wish to print from their mobile device. Consumers can also upload and print directly from Facebook, Google, and other cloud accounts and choose from a variety of premium photo products to customize and fit their style.

“As photo retailers continue to look for engaging, easy to use photo solutions to improve consumers’ in-store experience, Kodak Moments is proud to be on the leading edge of innovation,” said Jon Bostock, CEO, Kodak Alaris. “We look forward to working with retailers to stay ahead of the curve.”
