Nikon releases update for remote shooting system, NX Field, adding support for Nikon Z 9
Nikon Inc. announced Ver. 1.2.0 of NX Field, the latest version of its remote shooting system for professional agencies, was released, adding support for the Nikon Z 9 FX-format/full-frame mirrorless camera.
Support for the Z 9 added with Ver. 1.2.0 enables the detection of nine subject types; people, dogs, cats, birds, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trains, and airplanes, for the more reliable acquisition of the intended subject, even with remote operation. In addition, support for the Z 9’s High-Speed Frame Capture+ feature realizes the fast frame rate of 120 fps enables the remote capture of decisive moments.
Furthermore, the Dual-Stream technology built into the Z 9 enables a live view display on a smartphone or tablet with very little delay and no freezing during continuous shooting.
Nikon will continue to provide updates for NX Field to support professional photographers who are active on the frontlines of reporting and capturing decisive moments.
