Photo features for iOS 15

Apple adds photostacks to messages

Apple Inc. releases iOS 15, which added new photo-related features for smartphones, including ways to create automatic movies from pictures, adding text recognition within photos, and adding long-overdue EXIF data to photos.  For iPhone 12 and 13 users, Apple claims it has improved the panorama features, removing distortions, and reducing noise and banding.

Apple is more tightly integrating photos with the Messages. Photos sent to over Messages now automatically appear in the Photos app. The broader set of shared photos will be featured in a new “Shared with You” section, your Memories, and your Featured Photos. Also, multiple photos are now stacked in Messages conversations where they can be swiped through or viewed as a grid.
