French camera maker Pixii is taking orders for an updated version of its digital rangefinder, the Pixii+. The new Model A2572+ model builds on the camera’s existing features,  the company said, including a bright field of view, independent LED frame lines, and an interactive screen. The 26v MP camera starts at €2,699.00, with shipping in mid-November.

The camera is compatible with M39/LTM lenses via adapter (not included).

Improvements to the camera include extending the optical base for increased precision and using a micro ball-bearing contacter to enhance the rangefinder lens guidance, reducing surface frictions and hysteresis, the company claims. The camera also now accommodates oversized lenses up to 72mm in diameter.

For eyeglass wearers, the Pixii+ offers replaceable magnetic eyepieces, with optical correction from -3 to +3 diopters, with more options to come later this year. For longer lengths up to 75mm, a 1.5x magnifier is available.

The Pixii+ comes with a new software release complementing the improvements. The camera has always had an iOS and Android app for connected control; now the app has Auto ISO as a new exposure mode. Focus peaking, geotagging, and zoom are now also available in the mobile app.
