Plaza Create to offer free retail store to entrepreneurs

Palette Plaza store from Plaza Create

Japan photo retailer Plaza Create Co., Ltd. announced a plan to transfer ownership of a Palette Plaza photo store for free to an entrepreneur, after a trial period. Contestants have until Sept. 1 to apply. During the three months from October to December 2020, the company will let 10 candidates operate the stores as a “paid internship” and, if it is a success, the company will transfer the store for “0 yen.”

Palette Plaza has approximately 300 stores nationwide.

In other news, Plaza Create redesigned its company logo (shown above), which reflects its renewed corporate vision to convey the objective of “creating a plaza for everyone” rather than being particular about the production method. The motif is the block structure of the ancient Greek stone “Agora,” which is the origin of the “square.”
