U.K.-based  Popsa, the consumer AI-powered photo book company, announced it has achieved B Corp. Certification. This recognition, granted and verified by the nonprofit B Lab, confirms Popsaʼs commitment to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

By embracing a stakeholder-centric mindset and championing responsible innovation, Popsa is taking on the urgent societal and ecological challenges our world faces, the company said in a press release. The certification process is rigorous, with companies required to provide evidence on performance while legally embedding their commitment to purpose as well as profit in their company articles.

Joining a global movement of more than 9,000 certified B Corps, Popsa proves profitable ventures can—and should—drive positive change for individuals, communities, and the planet, the company said. The B Corp community in the UK is one of the largest and fastest-growing in the world, with more than 2,500 companies spanning a range of different industries and sizes. Names include The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tonyʼs Chocolonely, The Big Issue, Finisterre, Elemis, and Sipsmith Gin.

“From day one at Popsa, our goal was to combine cutting-edge AI with a genuine purpose: helping people who arenʼt confident with design or technology create meaningful artefacts from their memories,ˮ said Liam Houghton, CEO and co-founder of Popsa. “Becoming a B Corp underlines our commitment to doing that responsibly. Weʼre proud to join a movement that supports our belief that data can be used for social good, and we look forward to continuing our work in ways that benefit our customers, employees, and the planet.ˮ

“We’re delighted to welcome consumer AI company, Popsa, to the B Corp community,” says Chris Turner, executive director, B Lab UK. “Itʼs exciting to see fast-growing startups like Popsa disrupting their industries while also protecting the planet and their people. We look forward to seeing Popsa continue driving a new, more purposeful approach to doing business.ˮ
