Rise Above Research updated its research project portfolio. The company has published the following reports over the last few months:

  • Home Printer Ownership & Future Purchase Plans  – Home printers are a ubiquitous devices in most households and are used for everything from printing photos to shipping labels. This report takes a closer look at consumers who own home printers, providing more details on the types and brands owned, future purchase intentions and the most important features desired in new printers. It also touches on participation and interest in ink subscription services. Most of the data in the report is broken down by age groups and the brand of printer used most often to highlight differences.
  • Photo Merchandise Price Trends, 2017-2024 – Standard prices for popular photo merchandise products have increased steadily over the last several years. Using data from the Rise Above Research photo merchandise price tracking from 2017-2024, this report analyzes the product price increases that have occurred over that time period for photo cards, photo books and photo calendars. In addition to standard product prices, the report also shows data for shipping charges.
  • 2024 US Photo Merchandise Study  – The 2024 US Photo Merchandise Study is the most in-depth consumer study on photo merchandise in the US. Fielded in October 2024, it provides the results of an extensive online survey of 1,233 US consumers between the ages of 13 and 79 and covers a broad range of products including photo cards, photo books, photo calendars and photo wall/tabletop décor. It includes both quantitative and qualitative questions on buying habits, attitudes and future buying expectations, as well as questions on how the economy has impacted buying behaviors. The study includes three sets of data tabulations in both PDF and Excel format, PowerPoint slides and a written report.
