Tamron debuts three lenses

Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058

Tamron USA Inc. announced shipping dates of three lenses, including the first mirrorless lens with an F2 aperture. The 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058), a fast-aperture telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, will be out Oct. 28, 2021, at $1899.

The 35-150mm F2-2.8 is a travel zoom lens covering the range from 35mm through 150mm. Tamron says it is the first zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras to have a maximum wide-open aperture of F2.

The lens design featuring four LD (Low Dispersion) and three GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements optimally arranged. Superior close-focusing capability with an MOD of 0.33m (13 in) at the wide end for creative close-ups

This lens is compatible with the new TAMRON Lens Utility software, where users can customize the functions and update the firmware through the lens. Personal customization gives flexible shooting options to match the shooting situation such as still photography or videography.

Tamron USA also announced the launch date of the previously announced 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A[2] VC VXD. The Fujifilm X-Mount model B061X will be on sale Oct. 28, 2021, at $699 USD. Due to the current global health crisis, the release date or product supply schedule could change. The Sony e-mount model of this new lens was available on Sept. 24.

Tamron 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD

The 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 VC VXD covers a range from approximately 27mm to 450mm in full-frame equivalent focal length. The first1 APS-C mirrorless camera zoom lens in the world with a 16.6x zoom ratio, according to Tamron. The lens has a Minimum Object Distance of 5.9-inch at the 18mm wide end and amaximum magnification ratio of 1:2

The 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 VC VXD utilizes TAMRON’s proprietary VXD linear motor focus mechanism.

Tamron USA also announced the launch date of the previously announced 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063), a fast-aperture standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras; the lens will be on sale Oct. 28, 2021, at $899 USD. Due to the current global health crisis, the release date or product supply schedule could change.

The 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) is the successor of the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036). This lens is compatible with the new TAMRON Lens Utility software
