WhiteWall launches campaign with Lorenz Holder, infrared photographer

Premium wall-decor WhiteWall launched a new campaign dedicated to the optical effects of infrared photography with the well-known action sports photographer and WhiteWall Ambassador Lorenz Holder. The campaign is dedicated to the fascinating optical effects of infrared photography. The focus is on autumnal red tones with a unique, surreal quality created by infrared photography.

With the WhiteWall campaign, Holder provides an insight into the world of infrared photography. By using special filters and camera modifications, the infrared spectrum of light is captured, resulting in unique effects. For example, plants that photosynthesize appear red in infrared images. These unusual contrasts and textures offer a refreshing alternative to conventional images and open up new creative possibilities.

Holder uses this during the shoot for WhiteWall in Cologne to create unique visual experiences of intense radiance: “The exciting thing about infrared is that you are photographing something that the human eye cannot see,” says Holder. “Infrared photography gives everyday scenes a dreamlike finish and expands the creative possibilities enormously.”
