40th anniversary IPIC event a success

The annual IPI Member Network conference, IPIC, is an annual celebration of ingenuity and entrepreneurship in the retail photo lab sector. This year’s event, at the Red Rock Resort and Spa for the second year, also served as the 40th anniversary of the group. After starting as a meeting for disgruntled Fromex One Hour Lab franchisees, the group expanded along the West coast and the east coast, across North America and eventually, internationally. Below, John Albright, a founding member of the organization, tells the story:

The mood at the event was celebratory, not just due to the anniversary celebration but the group was also buoyed by post-pandemic optimism. Many of the IPI members at the show were talking about booming business, driven in part by revitalized film-processing volume and the continued growth in business graphics and analog-to-digital transfer services.

And the changes keep coming for IPIC, as the organization moves its annual conference from Las Vegas to Ft. Worth, Texas, next year, at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, July 9-13, 2023.
