Camera IQ debuts Camera Experience Manager onstage at Cannes Lions Innovation
Company also announces early access to coveted tools with key social networks; customers can now build AR experiences once and distribute to multiple cameras
CANNES, FRANCE (PRWEB) JUNE 22, 2018 – Camera IQ, the world’s first augmented reality (AR) platform for camera marketing, today unveiled its flagship Camera Experience Manager (CEM) product in a live demo onstage at Cannes Lions. The CEM offers a full suite of enterprise tools that help brands create, manage and measure their camera content across multiple distribution channels.
Camera IQ customers can now use the company’s CEM to build augmented reality experiences (AREs) and simultaneously publish them across multiple cameras, including popular social media apps like Facebook, Snapchat, or their own native applications. The CEM then collects and visualizes aggregate analytics from each distribution endpoint and compares engagement data side-by-side to help marketers understand what’s working, and why.
“Cameras are the next great consumption experience, the next great transaction experience, and the biggest opportunity for marketers in a decade,” said Camera IQ co-founder and CEO Allison Wood. “We help marketers create brand new worlds that customers love to explore. Camera IQ seamlessly integrates OS platforms, AR toolkits and native apps into a single fabric, so marketers can deliver captivating experiences at scale, everywhere.”
Wood and her Camera IQ co-founder and COO Sonia Tsao were selected by R/GA to participate in the fourth annual Cannes Lions Start-up Academy. The Academy identifies technology-enabled companies with the potential to impact the marketing, media, and communications and advertising industries, exposing global brands to an expanded pool of innovative solutions.
In Cannes, Camera IQ will also demo augmented reality experiences from new partners Refinery29 and Tapestry, who join a list of AR pioneers already working with Camera IQ, including the Coachella, Viacom, FabFitFun, and others.
“The camera opens up an entirely new channel of engagement with our consumers and this is just the beginning,” said David Kang, Senior Vice President, Digital & E-commerce at Tapestry. “Our brands are powered by innovation and inclusivity which fits very well in the partnership and work with Camera IQ. We prize exploration and self-expression, the two values are amplified through this collaboration as we continue to test and learn… to surprise and delight our consumer while bridging the physical and digital through AR.”
In addition to their appearance on the Lions Innovation stage, Camera IQ’s founders will be speaking at two additional events:
Allison Wood will speak on a panel at The Interpublic Group Women’s Breakfast, featuring executives from Facebook and Amazon and moderated by BBG Ventures Founding Partner and Former Gilt Groupe CEO Susan Lyne, whose early stage consumer technology fund invests in female-led companies. Event details are available here.
Sonia Tsao will speak on a panel at The Female Quotient’s Girls Lounge moderated by Ita Ekpoudom, Founder and CEO of Tigress Ventures and Investment Partner at Plum Alley. Event details are available here.
“We are excited to bring founders to Cannes that will provide global brand and agency leaders with access to emerging technologies and business models,” said Stephen Plumlee, Global Chief Operating Officer of R/GA and Managing Partner of R/GA Ventures. “Camera IQ, with its focus on mixed reality solutions, is the kind of company we have always been drawn to at R/GA—one that is fostering creativity through groundbreaking technology.”
