Canon debuts Arizona 2300 series, imagePRESS presses
Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced the new Arizona 2300 Series UV curable flatbed printers for the wide-format print market. This series is designed to help customers speed up production, improve operational efficiencies and fuel growth opportunities through its new applications.
Featuring a stationary flatbed table structure, this series is built around the new Arizona FLOW technology, a unique vacuum technique supporting a zone-less, multi-origin table layout. FLOW technology offers up to 20 percent more productivity, as it requires less masking and taping, and is supported by easy-to-use, three-sided pneumatic registration pins to better secure the substrate in place on the table, the company says. The pneumatic registration pins allow customers to print from edge to edge on the substrate, to align substrates to either the left or the right edge of the table, or both.
This series also provides customers with the ability to print up to 1,001 ft2/hr. The automated maintenance system offers hands-free printhead maintenance and reduces downtime by restoring nozzle function in as little as 24 seconds.
The roll media option also allows customers to explore a vast range of roll media, including thin, heat-sensitive media, such as vinyl, up to 86.6 inches wide. This feature allows customers to easily switch between rigid and flexible media jobs with no machine preparation. Businesses can meet any customer demand for printing on hard plastic materials, such as acrylic, polycarbonate and styrene.
In other Canon news, the company also announced imagePRESS C10010VP / C9010VP digital presses.
With the imagePRESS C10010VP, Canon says this series is the company’s flagship, toner-based color digital press helping provide shorter delivery times, increase productivity of printing operations and produce a wide range of higher-margin work.
These digital presses are equipped with high productivity of up to 90ppm (imagePRESS C9010VP) and 100ppm (imagePRESS C10010VP) of one-up images on letter-sized sheets, and up to 112ppm (imagePRESS C10010VP) of two-up images on tabloid-sized sheets.
The imagePRESS C10010VP Series provides customers with the ability to produce value-added deliverables, including brochures, luxury business cards, signage and restaurant menus. The POD Deck Lite XL and enhanced BDT VX-790 long sheet feeder options offer automatic duplex printing and continuous feed of banner stocks up to 30 inches to help customers create cost-effective posters, signage, and marketing collateral.
As bringing efficiency to production environments is always imperative, the GBC eWire* helps remove the bottleneck that the manual twin loop wire binding process requires. By becoming inline, creating up to 80-sheet wire bound books becomes automated and ready for distribution with minimal operator involvement. In addition, the imagePRESS C10010VP Series can support the DFD Bridge and Adapter, providing production environments with the ability to attach the SDD BLM300C or Plockmatic BLM50/35 professional booklet maker options inline.
Customers can choose between Canon’s PRISMAsync Print Server and the Fiery powered imagePRESS Server B7000 V2/B6000 V2.
