Custom photo album maker Finao abruptly shuts down

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Longtime professional photo album supplier Finao Online LLC has abruptly closed, leaving customers with unfilled orders and unanswered questions. The company was founded in 2007 by Tony Randhawa and the late Christine Perry-Burke. Ironically, the company’s name was derived from the movie “Apollo 13,” where Ed Harris‘ character said, “Failure Is Not An Option.” Perusing the company’s Facebook reviews pages and Yelp reviews over the past year show a deep decline in satisfaction since June, 2024.

The company posted on its website:

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that due to financial circumstances, Finao is shutting its doors and is no longer accepting orders. It has given us great pleasure to offer you, our loyal Finoans, the highest quality customized photo albums in the business for the last seventeen years. We know that our legacy will live on in the beautiful memories that we have created together.

We are attempting to find a solution for customers whose orders were in progress at the time of Finao’s closure.  Customers may wish to seek a refund through the credit card used to pay for an unfulfilled order.

Thank you so much for trusting us with your business for throughout the years. We will keep you posted.

Your Finao team

The company moved its production facility from Long Island to Saline, Michigan, in 2023. According to a letter to employees shared on Reddit, Randhawa cited continued loss of business due to the pandemic and unexpected costs related to the relocation.
