Deity Microphones unveils S-Mic 3 and S-Mic 3S mics

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Deity Microphones announces the launch of its latest microphones, the S-Mic 3 ($399) and S-Mic 3S ($349). The S-Mic 3 and S-Mic 3S boast broadcast-quality sound, setting a new benchmark for professional audio at this price level, the company said. Leveraging advanced CNC machining technology, each microphone is expertly cut from aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional durability without compromising on weight.

What sets the S-Mic 3 and S-Mic 3S apart is their remarkable lightweight construction, the company says. Building on the success of their predecessors, these microphones are now up to 70% lighter, delivering unparalleled convenience without sacrificing performance. This breakthrough in design not only enhances portability but also elevates user experience to new heights.

Designed to minimize off-axis coloration, the S-Mic 3 and S-Mic 3S deliver audio clarity. With ultra-low circuit noise measuring in at 12dB-A, these microphones capture every nuance with remarkable precision, ensuring exceptional audio quality in every recording.

“Six years ago, we launched our brand on the back of the S-Mic 2 and redefined what professional audio gear should cost,” said Andrew Jones, brand developer. “Today, we are excited to ship out the next generation in that story.”

Along with launching two new XLR shotgun microphones, Deity is also launching the ASM2 Pro Kit ($149), a new shock mount kit. This collaboration between Deity and the legendary designers at Radius Windshields offers an all-in-one solution that includes a boom pole mount, handheld grip, and lightweight XLR jumper cable.

Deity is also relaunching the 8.5-ft carbon fiber Deity Boom Pole ($185) and introducing the W01 and W02 faux fur windshields ($25) for the S-Mic 3/3S family. The W01 and W02 are also backward compatible with the S-Mic 2 and S-Mic 2S.
