Google to launch Pixel 6 this fall

Google Pixel 6

Google revealed details on its new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, which will be driven by AI innovations, which will be formally announed this Fall with full features, technical specs, and pricing and availability.

These new phones feature a new design and an upgraded rear camera system. The improved sensors and lenses are now too big to fit into the traditional square — “so the new design gives the whole camera system a new home with the camera bar,” the company said.

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will have new materials and finishes: Pro’s light polished aluminum frame, and the 6’s matte aluminum finish. Both smartphones will be running Google Android 12 and the new Material You design language, which mixes color science with years of work in interaction design and engineering.

The new Tensor chip will power more and more AI and ML features, the company said.
