Mediaclip launches Kado, a marketplace to support local manufacturers
With local authorities calling for local purchases as international trade slows down, Montreal-based photo personalization leader Mediaclip, has set up an online marketplace for customizable gifts to support its community. Guided by its mission to help customers generate income, and above all to retain the jobs in their businesses, Mediaclip launched a temporary eCommerce website, kadodesigner.ca, which targets Quebec and Canadian consumers wishing to offer photo products and gifts to family members. This provisional marketplace offers local manufacturers a new distribution channel and will also wear the colors of the “Everything will be OK” campaign. The initiative not only aims to spread hope to the consumer but also to increase the visibility of the local manufacturers.
“It is often during periods of uncertainty that truly innovative companies prove themselves,” said Marion Duchesne, CEO and founder of Mediaclip. “The fact that we aim to provide comfort and a boost to local jobs is of utmost importance for us.”
Offering a silver lining under the Kado brand, this project brings together the best of home-grown technologies and manufacturers with the goal of maintaining jobs locally, thus allowing our consumers to gifts the antidote to the economic crisis linked to the outbreak, the company states.
“Participating in such an empowering project uplifts our team,” says Duchesne. “As we work remotely, this initiative brings us closer to our local partners and our community.”
