OmegaBrandess selected as exclusive distributor for Cactus brand flash triggers and lighting equipment in the U.S.
Hampstead, Maryland – December 26, 2017 – OmegaBrandess is pleased to announce they have been chosen to be the exclusive distributor for Cactus lighting product in the United States. Cactus manufactures unique products for flash photography, several of which feature cross-brand compatibility.
The Cactus V6 II and V6IIs for Sony are the World’s First wireless flash triggers that support cross-brand wireless HSS (High-speed Sync) and cross-brand TTL (Through The Lens automatic flash exposure) and can control the power output and zoom angle of Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax and Sigma system flashes all at the same time.1
The need for matching flashes with the same camera system for on and off-camera TTL flash photography is over – TTL without boundaries. The first wave of firmware releases has been for Fujifilm, Sony and Sigma. In the last two months Cactus has added Pentax, Olympus and Panasonic. Canon and Nikon will follow in January and February as they complete system integration on the V6 II/V6IIs.
Also available is the Wireless Flash RF60X, a portable flash with a built-in wireless transceiver that supports high-speed sync / FP mode, AF-assist and an exclusive Cooling Mode. The built-in transceiver transforms the flash into the perfect tool for off-camera flash photography as it gives you the ability to wirelessly control its power output and zoom level. Moreover, when paired with the Cactus V6II or V6IIs for Sony, it even gives you high-speed sync on your off-camera flash! You no longer need a TTL flash to support high-speed sync. The RF60X has the ability to sync with your camera above x-sync when it is triggered by the V6II/V6IIs. That makes the RF60X a HSS flash for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax and Sony camera systems – one flash for all.
Other products now distributed by OmegaBrandess include the V6 and V5 transceivers and the LV5 Laser Trigger.
The Cactus V6 is the World’s First wireless flash trigger that works ON ANY CAMERA (with a standard hot shoe or PC Sync port) to control power output, wirelessly, of Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus and Panasonic’s system flashes ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
The re-engineered and re-designed Cactus Wireless Flash Transceiver V5, like its predecessors, remains powerful and reliable, and is ideal for photography of any kind. It sports a new transceiver design and, powered by 2 AAA 1.5V batteries, each Cactus V5 unit can serve as either a wireless flash transmitter or wireless flash receiver. Different transmitter/receiver combinations are now possible, giving photographers unparalleled flexibility and control over their strobe setups, at an incredibly low price.
Cactus LV5 is a laser trigger that allows you to do high speed photography and wildlife camera traps. Whether you are interested in capturing beautiful water droplets, facial expressions of athletes at the finish line from multiple angles, or wildlife movements caught in the act, the LV5 Laser Trigger can create unforgettable images with ease.
¹ With the exception of Pentax and Sony system flashes due to special timing requirements so it must be paired with a Pentax or Sony camera in order to support HSS/TTL
