Printess, a provider of print personalization solutions, announced a strategic investment in PiktID, an AI technology company. The partnership underscores Printess’ continued dedication to pushing the limits of personalized print while adhering to responsible and transparent AI practices, the company said. PiktID has a suite of AI-powered tools: TagID, EraseID, and SuperID.

  • TagID is an automated photo tagging tool, with AI-powered captioning.
  • EraseID is an AI-powered photo anonymizer tool, where a face can be easily changed and adapted for privacy or advertising purposes.
  • SuperID is an AI photo enhancer, primarily for upscaling.

“PiktID is pioneering human-centered AI solutions built on ethical AI principles, ensuring that technological advancements serve both society and the environment responsibly,” says Christoph Schacht, co-founder of Printess. “We share a deep alignment in values with PiktID, particularly in how we approach AI for personalization. This partnership is a natural fit for Printess, as we seek to amplify our product offerings while maintaining trust with our users.”

“We see this partnership as an opportunity to not only expand our capabilities in print personalization but also to infuse it with additional cutting-edge AI features that elevate the user experience,” comments Christoph Clermont, co-founder of Printess.

By integrating PiktID’s powerful suite of AI tools, Printess will offer its customers enhanced features that streamline and optimize their design workflows. These tools promise to not only make print personalization more efficient but also more secure and visually compelling.

“We have already seen how some of the PiktID features have added a range of new possibilities within the Printess editor, like our face-swap feature that is a hit with users,” adds Clermont. “With the continued addition of new capabilities, Printess is taking a bold step into the future of print personalization. As the demand for fast and creative personalization continues to grow, Printess will continue to offer more AI driven features thanks to our partnership with PiktID.”
