U.S. Government adds DJI to list of national security list
Leading drone company SZ DJI Technology Co. was added to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Entity List, designating the Chinese company as a national security concern and banning U.S.-based companies from exporting technology to the company. The filing listing DJI accuses the company of “enabled wide-scale human rights abuses within China through abusive genetic collection and analysis or high-technology surveillance.”
The company told The Verge its products will remain available: “DJI is disappointed in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s decision. Customers in America can continue to buy and use DJI products normally. DJI remains committed to developing the industry’s most innovative products that define our company and benefit the world.”
Here is the federal document regarding the entity list.
