Vivid-Pix CEO Rick Voight was presented the Gold Stevie Award 2024 for Maverick of the Year – Consumer Products & Services in the 22nd Annual American Business Awards. The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program, with more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry submitted this year for consideration.

Voight works tirelessly to help older adults reminisce about their history and combat loneliness, traveling throughout the U.S. to conduct free events at libraries, senior living facilities, genealogical and historical societies, and other community locations, where people of all ages can relive and recover lost memories and tell their stories. Voight guides seniors on scanning, restoring photos, and sharing stories with Vivid-Pix Memory Station, inspiring older adults to learn and document their past for themselves and generations to come. Voight has presented at many prestigious locations across America, including The National Press Club, Allen County Public Library, National Genealogical Society, Friendly Senior Living, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and more.

Developing AgeTech technologies, Voight has also worked with The National Institute for Dementia Education (NIDE) to conduct research culminating in the report: “Cognitive Benefits of Photo Reminiscence Therapy for Dementia Patients” which studied the treatment power of photos and concluded that Photo Reminiscence Therapy (pRT) can improve the quality of life, minimize social isolation, and general cognitive performance for those living with dementia or memory impairment. The study was conducted by the National Institute for Dementia Education, the CERTUS Institute, Vivid-Pix, Tellegacy, and achi.

“I am honored to win the Stevie 2024 Maverick Award,” said Voight. “By connecting older adults with loved ones and caregivers and exercising the brain through memories, we work to help improve happiness and brain health. Vivid-Pix Memory Station activities at home and in the family history community connect people. It’s wonderful being a part of the joy that comes from reminiscing.”

“While growth in much of the world economy has recovered slowly from the COVID-19 pandemic, the American economy continues to show remarkable resilience and growth,” said Maggie Miller, president, Stevie Awards. “Our 2024 Stevie winners have contributed to that successful recovery through their innovation, persistence, and hard work. We congratulate all our winners in the 2024 ABAs and look forward to celebrating their achievements during our June 11 awards banquet in New York.”

Voight, CEO and Co-Founder of Vivid-Pix and publisher, of Reunions magazine, is a lifelong photography and imaging visionary with leading photography companies, such as Hewlett-Packard and Eastman Kodak Co. He then co-founded Vivid-Pix to restore decades-old, faded photos, bringing back precious memories that were thought to be long gone due to the passage of time or cognitive decline. Voight is also a member of the Dead Pixels Society advisory board.
