CEWE board does not extend contract of CEO

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Neumüller CEWE COLOR Foundation, Dr. Rolf Hollander announced, due to differing opinions on corporate management, the board of trustees canceled the contract of Dr. Christian Friege, chairman of the board. The contract ends Dec. 31, 2022. As a personally liable partner, the Neumüller CEWE COLOR Foundation manages the business of the listed CEWE Foundation & Co. KGaA. No successor was announced.

The board said Dr. Friege has offered to ensure continuity in leadership and enable a smooth handover.

The Supervisory Board of CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA speaks to Dr. Friege expresses his express thanks: “The Supervisory Board is convinced that Dr. Friege has significantly influenced the positive development of the company and earning,” said Otto Korte, chairman of the supervisory board. “The cooperation between the Supervisory Board and the Management Board led by Dr. Friege was always characterized by openness, trust, and mutual respect. We would have welcomed an extension of the contract and would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Friege for the work he has done and his promise to enable a smooth handover in the interests of the company.”
