Fujfiilm, Hasselblad, Nikon, Panasonic release software and firmware updates

Fujifilm North America debuted firmware updates for the X-T3 and the X-H1. The X-T3 update will improve the autofocusing performance of the X-T3 to the same level as the FUJIFILM X-T4, the company said, while the X-H1 update is a bug fix.

In other Fujfiilm news, for a limited time, registered owners of FUJIFILM X Series or GFX System digital cameras and lenses can receive a free 1-year Flickr Pro subscription. The deal is for new Flickr Pro subscribers only. Offer valid for US residents completing an applicable product registration by Jan. 31, 2021.

Nikon Inc. released the official version of the Webcam Utility Software for Windows 10 and macOS. The utility enables compatible Nikon mirrorless and DSLR cameras to be used as high-quality webcams when connected via USB to a computer.

Hasselblad announced the firmware update 1.4.0 adding new functionality for an enhanced shooting experience with the X1D II 50C, 907X Special Edition and 907X 50C cameras. A distance scale overlay has been added to Live View, Interval Timer has upgraded options for exposure metering and frame selection, and Phocus Mobile 2 functionality has been updated, in addition to general system improvements.
Panasonic announced several firmware updates to be released Nov. 24:

    • Improved AF performance [S1H] [S1R] [S1]
      • LUMIX’s AF technology and performance of the new LUMIX S5 will also be available on the S1R, S1H and S1. The upgraded AF notably excels in detection of human and its movement.
  • DC-G100 Firmware Version 1.1
    • The camera will be compatible with LUMIX Webcam Software (Beta).
    • [Horizontal Image Flip(Monitor)] / [Vertical Image Flip(Monitor)] enables to reverse or not to reverse the monitor image when the free-angle monitor is rotated.
