Fujifilm announces X-T4 flagship, INSTAX Mini 11
FUJIFILM North America Corp. launched the FUJIFILM X-T4 flagship model of the X series family of mirrorless digital cameras. The X-T4 features a newly designed five-axis IBIS, a quiet shutter unit, a new vari-angle LCD screen, a new Eterna Bleach Bypass Film Simulation, and a new, large-capacity battery.
The camera features the X-Trans CMOS 4 26.1MP, back-side illuminated sensor and X-Processor 4 quad-core CPU and a five-axis In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) provides up to 6.5 stops of image stabilization.
The X-T4 features a newly developed mechanical shutter that is the fastest and most robust in the history of the X Series, the company claims, noting shutter speeds of 15 frames per second and rating for 300,000 actuations. The camera’s larger capacity battery holds up to 600 frames per charge The camera body features a 1.62 million pixel vari-angle touchscreen LCD.
The X-T4 is also a versatile videography camera, capable of recording professional-level DCI 4K/60p and Full HD/240p super slow-motion video. It is also possible to record F-Log footage in 10-bit color, straight to the card.
X-T4 will be available in both black and silver and is expected to be available for sale in Spring 2020 at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,699.95 USD and $2,199.99 CAD.
Fujifilm also announced the launch of INSTAX Mini 11 instant camera, available in five colors. The camera features a new “automatic exposure” function that automatically senses the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed and optimizes the shutter speed and flash output. The camera switches to selfie mode by simply pulling out the front end edge of the lens after powering the camera on.
The camera makes a fashion statement with a choice of five pastel, pale-tone colors – Blush Pink, Sky Blue, Charcoal Gray, Ice White, and Lilac Purple – and it comes with two replaceable and stylish shutter button stickers.
The INSTAX Mini 11 instant camera will be available at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $69.95 USD ($89.99 CDN) and is expected to be available for purchase mid-March, 2020.
Fujifilm also introduced two INSTAX instant film varieties; INSTAX Mini Blue Marble film and INSTAX Square White Marble film. Both have marble-patterned print frames.
