The SportDiver housing automatically connects to your iPhone and the SportDiver app using Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5 wireless technology. No cables or buttons touch the phone and offer ultra-low power consumption for both the phone and the housing which is powered by two AAA batteries that last over 50 hours of continuous use.
For enhanced imaging results, a removable underwater color-correction filter is included with the SportDiver which restores natural underwater colors. The SportDiver housing features triple 1/4-20 tripod mounts which mounts to any light or light tray with standard tripod threads such as SeaLife’s own range of Sea Dragon underwater photo/video lights. SeaLife also offers the SportDiver and Sea Dragon underwater light combined dubbed the “SportDiver Pro 2500 Set.”
For the phone’s safety and protection, the SportDiver has “Dual Leak Alarms” which include an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm which alert the diver with on-screen warnings, audio and LED signal in the unlikely event the waterproof seal is compromised and there’s a loss of housing pressure or moisture is detected. The door of the SportDiver is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch that easily and securely locks waterproof door.
SeaLife also introduced the new Micro 3.0 Underwater Camera, the third generation of if its permanently-sealed Micro camera series. The camera is leak-proof with no O-rings to lube or maintain, so there is never a worry about flooding the camera. Like its forerunners, the Micro 3.0 features an ergonomic, compact design with easy-to-use controls and menus. The camera has a 16-megapixel Sony CMOS image sensor and offers 4K video. The Micro 3.0 has a large three-plus-hour battery good for a full day of diving and built-in 64GB of memory to store thousands of photos and hours of video.
The camera’s ease of use starts with the three wide Piano key type buttons that are easy to locate and control, even with dive gloves on. The intuitive camera’s Easy Setup feature quickly guides you through the correct settings based on the shooting environment, depth and lighting accessories being used.
The built-in wide-angle 100-degree lens allows the diver to get close to the subjects while still keeping everything in the picture.
The Micro 3.0 offers WiFi sharing ability, so you can wirelessly preview, download and share pictures and videos to a smartphone or tablet with the free Micro 3+ app available at Google Play or Apple App stores. The Micro has a time lapse function – shooting at set time intervals as a video file or series of still images, and a rapid-fire burst mode that quickly captures a series of full resolution still images at 10-frames per second.
The Micro 3.0 is expandable with SeaLife accessories, including Sea Dragon Photo/Video lights and 10X Macro lens. The larger 260K high-resolution 2.4” TFT color LCD display makes capturing and reviewing photos and video easy on the small camera. The unique ergonomic housing was specially designed for use underwater, while the housing is easy to hold and use even with one hand, the tough enclosure also features a unique closing system – a “Pressure Lock” thumb screw exerting the optimal amount of pressure on the housings O-ring seal. The waterproof housing encases the small inner camera, and also stores a powerful drying agent called “Moisture Muncher” next to the camera that prevents internal fogging caused by heat and humidity trapped inside the housing.
Featuring a compact removable inner camera and robust external housing mounting to a light tray or can just as easily be hand-held due to its contoured ergonomic body. The easy, 4-button control system makes catching the action an effortless process. The ReefMaster offers WiFi sharing ability.
