Venus Optics introduces Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL for full-frame mirrorless
Venus Optics introduced the Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The small lens features an ultra-wide 1260-degree AoV and weighs only 254g (8.9 oz.).
The new Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL offers an exaggerated and non-fisheye perspective. It has a 62mm filter thread for screw-in filters. For photographers who opt to use slide-in filters, the magnetic filter holder allows them to use their 100mm-wide filters with no vignetting.
The 11mm lens is composed of 14 elements in 10 groups. Although it is not a Zero-D lens, the 2 aspherical elements and 3 extra-low dispersion elements suppress the distortion and chromatic aberrations to the minimum, the company claims.
Laowa11mm f/4.5 FF RL features an extremely close focusing distance of 7.4′′ / 19cm (from subject to sensor) for photographers to create macro-like shots.
The new Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL is currently available to purchase via Venus Optics official website and authorized resellers. The US price for 11mm f/4.5 FF RL is $799 (Leica M mount) and $699 (Sony FE, Nikon Z and L).
